The community of South Riding offers something for everyone to enjoy. Children will enjoy playing on more than 500 acres of open space and parks. Additionally, tot lots and playgrounds are located throughout the community. South Riding is also home to George Washington University’s soccer teams, who play right on the community soccer field. Plenty of state and county parkland is located within driving distance, offering even more opportunities for outdoor fun and games.

A major attraction in Loudoun County is golf, and South Riding is no exception. The community is home to its own Dan Maples-designed 18-hole course. The lush, well-maintained fairways attract not only community residents, but also plenty of visitors from outside South Riding as well. Also located nearby are Cedar Crest Country Club, Twin Lakes Golf Course, the Chantilly Golf and Country Club and many other courses.

Elementary school students in South Riding attend either Little River Elementary or Hutchison Farm Elementary School. Both schools are located right in the community. High school students are served by Loudoun County Public Schools, and a high school is scheduled for construction in South Riding in the near future.
